For Troon, 2017 saw significant increases in transactions, qualified buyers and closing dates, suggesting a real change in general economic conditions and people’s appetite for moving. The opening Quarter trading in and around Troon is traditionally quieter in comparison to neighbouring towns, however, (with the exception of higher end properties) the first three months of 2018 have picked up where 2017 left off.
From our first day after the new year celebrations enquiries and viewing numbers for properties up
to £400,000 have been extremely encouraging
with increased year on year sales, closing dates and instructions. For those selling above £400,000 we expect an acceleration in activity throughout the second Quarter as more transactions take place in and around Glasgow, the source of the majority of our purchasers.
Going forward we expect Quarter two to be a very
busy three months and we would recommend anyone thinking of marketing their property to strike while the iron is hot and take advantage of the current pent up demand before the traditional rush of listings
from mid April through to May.
