Blanefield, and its immediate neighbour of Strathblane, have a good range of local facilities with Post Office, delicatessen, mini market, chemist, bar and two hotels. A bus service connects to Glasgow City Centre and surrounding districts and just over ten minutes’ drive away is Milngavie where there is a railway station with four trains an hour into Glasgow’s West End and City Centre. Milngavie has an excellent range of local shops and facilities, including a Waitrose, Marks & Spencer’s Food Hall, Tesco and Boots.
From Glasgow, and specifically Milngavie, take the A81 Strathblane Road out of Milngavie, past the Virgin Active Health Club on the right hand side. Continue into the countryside, through the hamlet of Craigmaddie and rising up over the hill and moorland drop down into the village of Strathblane. After passing The Kirkhouse Inn Hotel on the right hand side, follow the main street into Blanefield and, after the brow of the hill and the small parade of shops thereafter on the left hand side, take second left into Netherblane, turn to the left where the property can be found some way along on the right hand side.
