Westerton is on the south-westerly fringe of Bearsden and its assets include an excellent local primary school, tennis courts, a railway station with regular services into Glasgow’s West End and City Centre as well as a direct service to Edinburgh. There is a library, a couple of local shops including a general store with a wider range of amenities found in Bearsden which include quality independent retailers, coffee houses, restaurants and a bistro bar. It has a few banks, a Post office and a Marks & Spencer’s food hall. By car, the City Centre can be reached within twenty minutes, off peak, as can Glasgow’s International Airport. Leisure interests are plentiful and include a couple of local tennis clubs, a number of golf courses and a private health club, together with a local authority sports centre. Access is given to Cairnhill Woods where walking can be enjoyed and the start of the West Highland Way is in nearby Milngavie.
From our office on Canniesburn toll, from Drymen road take the left at the traffic lights on to Canniesburn road, proceed down Canniesburn Road taking eventual left into Maxwell Avenue where the property can be found on the left hand side.
