Bridge of Weir Property is a highly desirable area and a popular leisure destination. It is situated approximately 14 miles west of Glasgow and is within easy access of both Glasgow and Dumbartonshire. Bisected by the River Gryffe fishing is a popular pastime; the river boasts Brown Trout, Grayling and, occasionally, Atlantic Salmon. There are many other outdoor pursuits available at the nearby Clyde Muirshiel Regional Park and a National Cycle Route runs through the village. It is also a popular golf destination with the Old Course Ranfurly and the Ranfurly Castle golf clubs.
