Market Review Quarter First 2013
May 2013
The return of a seller’s market?
Our 2013 Bearsden branch sales statistics and sales trends would indicate it may well be the case. For most house types and price points we have witnessed a significant upturn in demand with year to date sales being even higher than 2007.
• 71 sales with a combined value of approximately £26m
• 7 week average sale time – half the time of our closest ‘competitor’ (Source: Rightmove)
36 secured sales in April alone has resulted in reduced stock levels which, coupled with the rise of new qualified buyers, means we are eager to gain new instructions to cope with the evident upturn in demand.
Is this just a seasonal Spring trend? In part, yes, but our sales momentum started long before the snowdrops appeared and given that all Corum branches are well ahead of last year’s figures we believe we are in the throws of a fundamental market improvement.
So, if you are wanting to move and would like to connect with our buyers please contact James Durward and be part of a seller’s market.
